FEATURED EMPLOYEES
ALEX NAVALES – A GOOD CORPORATE CITIZEN
By Lani Amores
In all the three years that Alex has been with Staff Alliance, I have yet to hear a single negative comment about him. That’s how likeable he is – from the bosses, to his peers and co-employees, to our clients, Alex is seen as a gentle and amiable person.
Ever so respectful, he himself earns the respect of other people. He respects the rules and regulations of his employer-company and its clients, and abides by them all the way. Currently assigned as utility personnel at a foreign bank, where he has stayed for quite sometime now, Alex has shown a dedication to his work that is beyond what is commonly seen in other workers. For one thing, he is rarely absent from work, and when he is, on occasions when missing work cannot be avoided, he makes sure that he secures the permission of his supervisors or gives them proper notice of his absence. For another, he always gives his 100% to any task given to him, big or small.
That’s Alex – someone to emulate, a good corporate citizen!
page top ˆ JEFFREY SAN DIEGO, A PERSON TO EMULATE
If there is one employee who truly makes our company proud, that is Jeffrey San Diego. Jeffrey is currently assigned as customer support operations and training project assistant in one of the manufacturing firms located in the south area of Metro Manila.
Asked about his performance, Ms. Sophia Paula Agustin, training manager in the company where Jeffrey is assigned, described him as a very hardworking person. She said he never misses deadlines. “He is efficient and capable of producing the desired results because he easily comprehends instructions. He can work independently yet at the same time he is a good team player”.
Ms. Catherine Romasanta, category management assistant in the same firm, says Jeffrey is kind, gets along well with everyone, is helpful and fun to be with.
No wonder his mother is very proud of him. Mrs. Soledad San Diego, whom we recently had a chance to chat with, shared that among her children Jeffrey is the most caring. She recalls that he bought her a cell phone with his first salary. Even now that he has a family of his own, he still helps his parents with house expenses. “A good son, and a good husband and father” is how, in a nutshell, Jeffrey’s mother describes him.
Jeffrey himself believes that to be successful one must be hardworking and must know how to set one’s priorities in life. And that’s exactly how he is managing his work, and his personal and family life.
Jeffrey, you truly are worthy of emulation!

NOEL ENRIQUEZ OF THE “SERBISYONG TOTOO” FAME
Described as “priceless” by the people with whom he works, Noel Enriquez happily thrives, and is perfectly in his element in the company where he is assigned as a janitor-messenger. He is in the Suago branch (Davao) of one of the country’s largest banks. People there find him dependable, easy to talk to, and always “giving service with a smile”.
Ms. Chona Uy, the branch’s BOO, believes Noel personifies the phrase “Serbisyong Totoo”. Noel is very effective in his work because, besides being dependable and trustworthy, he is also well organized, which helps him manage his tasks efficiently. “In times of need, you can count on Noel to lend a helping hand”, says Ms. Uy. In all the three years she has been working with Noel, Ms. Uy says she has never heard anything negative said about Noel, nor has she heard anything negative from Noel.
It’s always such a pleasure to see Noel when he comes to the office to submit his timesheets. He never fails to greet us with his infectious cheerfulness. He likes to practice his English on us, and he constantly practices speaking it because he believes that practice makes perfect. This strong desire to grow, and eagerness to learn new things are things one cannot help but notice and admire in Noel.
Noel’s virtues seem endless. He is generous, assisting his family financially, and industrious and enterprising, operating a small ink-refill business on top of his job at the bank.
With all his qualities, Noel is sure to go far!
